Principal investigator

Dr. Brown is a Professor of Special Education at the University of Las Vegas, Nevada (UNLV).  After a 13-year career as a classroom special education teacher, she transitioned into higher education. Dr. Brown identifies as a Black scholar whose research focus is on issues relating to race and disability in Black children with and without disabilities and their families. Currently, she has 40+ publications, as well as 75+ conference presentations, and has received numerous grants.
